Paula Oltmann (born 1997 in Kiel) lives and works in Berlin. She studied Fine Arts at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design under Antje Majewski, at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris under Petrit Halilaj and Alvaro Urbano, and under Ina Weber at the Berlin University of the Arts. Oltmann often works with materials she finds or sources from private spaces. These serve as the basis for formal constructions that explore the interplay between private identity and public space.
To date, Oltmann has participated in numerous national and several international group exhibitions. In 2025, she was awarded the Gottfried Brockmann Prize by the state capital Kiel, and in 2026, she received the Heitland Honneur from the city of Celle.
